About Terri
Experienced Leadership. Local Commitment. A Strong Voice for Ward 2.
For the past 15 years, Terri Drover has proudly called Ballantrae home. As a long-time resident of Ward 2 and a dedicated member of the broader Stouffville community, Terri understands what makes our municipality special—and what is needed to preserve and strengthen it for future generations.
With more than 30 years of leadership experience in healthcare, environmental stewardship, and non-profit governance, Terri brings proven executive experience, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to solving complex challenges.
Terri holds a university degree (BN) and a business degree (MBA), and has built a career focused on accountability, strategic planning, and delivering results. She has served as a senior executive in healthcare and pharmaceutical research and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of a national environmental stewardship organization responsible for the safe disposal of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment across Canada.
Terri’s commitment to public service extends far beyond her professional career. She has devoted many years to supporting seniors and vulnerable residents through her leadership with CHATS (Community & Home Assistance to Seniors).
During her seven years of service, Terri served as a Board Member, Committee Member, and Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee, helping ensure high-quality services for seniors throughout the region. She continues to actively support CHATS through fundraising and community advocacy.
Why Terri is Running
Terri believes that Whitchurch-Stouffville’s success depends on thoughtful leadership, responsible planning, and meaningful engagement with residents.
She is running for Council to give back to the community she loves and to ensure Ward 2 residents have a strong, informed, and effective voice at the Council table.
Rooted in Community
Born in Nova Scotia and raised in Newfoundland and Labrador, Terri has lived and worked across North America and travelled extensively. These experiences have provided her with a broad perspective while reinforcing the importance of strong local communities.
When she is not serving the community, Terri enjoys golfing, fishing, exploring the York Regional Forest trails, and spending time with family and friends. She is the proud mother of two daughters and grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren.
